The Manchester City ace, 34, is said to have chosen not to send his children, Kairo and Kinara, any presents for the second year running.

An insider told MailOnline: 'Kyle has bought Christmas presents before for his children with Lauryn but things are as tense as ever at his Cheshire home. 

'He is praying Annie will change her mind about their divorce. The one thing Annie wants to remain in control of is Kyle staying away from Lauryn and the children they share.

'It was hardly happy families for them this year and Kyle was there a few hours before leaving to train and staying in his apartment at Manchester City.
